Municipality of The Hague in court over violation of human rights of travellers

On April 3, 2024 at 09:30, the court hearing in the case against the municipality of The Hague concerning the violation of human rights of Sinti, Roma and travelers will take place. In the writ of summons, the travellers demand, among other things, a declaratory judgment that the municipality of The Hague makes prohibited racial distinctions and thus acts unlawfully. The travelers want the municipality to stop its discriminatory travellers’ extinction policy. The case will be heard by the District Court of The Hague on April 3, 2024.

Lawyers from PILP and from Houthoff support the travelers in these proceedings, so that they have a real prospect of being able to live in a caravan again and the opportunity to exercise their shared culture. This hearing is public.
