PILP&#8217;s services include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advising on strategic legal procedures to communities, movements, NGOs and other allies.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting and conducting legal proceedings for named parties.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing knowledge and experience in strategic litigation and Movement Lawyering, both nationally and internationally.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing national and international events.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating national and international collaborations.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting (legal) research.<\/li>\n<li>Spreading the vision of strategic litigation and clients&#8217; message in the media.<\/li>\n<li>Giving national and international lectures, workshops and lectures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Selection criteria<\/h3>\n<p><strong>PILP works with a compact team and cannot accept all requests. Criteria for case selection include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cases must take place in the Netherlands or the Dutch legal sphere, be related to human rights and serve the public interest.<\/li>\n<li>Cases must not be completely legally hopeless and must fit strategically within a broader struggle.<\/li>\n<li>The group involved must support the case and it must contribute to the progressive realization of human rights and the rule of law in the Netherlands.<\/li>\n<li>PILP prefers cases that are widely supported within the movement from which they originate and is happy to work in coalitions with other lawyers, experts and NGOs.<\/li>\n<li>The PILP team makes joint decisions on taking on new cases, with entirely new cases being submitted to PILP&#8217;s advisory board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What can PILP offer?
